Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, also died on the series. “Glee” is not the only one to face such a challenge…’ style=’float:left;padding:5px’ />
After the tragic death of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele seems to gradually overcome this trauma. Invited on the Ellen DeGeneres show to promote her single Cannonball, Lea Michele talke about the complicated period after Monteiths death on July 13. She spoke of actress Kate Hudson who was very supportive and allowed her to spend some time in her house when she was in full mourning, before going back on the set of Glee. Its just really hard, she explained. Theres so many different emotions and to kind of have people watching every step of the way. But to have that time at [Hudson’s] home to just really be in private with this for a moment before getting back to work and before going home Im just so thankful to her. Returning to the movie set is also what helped Lea managed to cope with the tragedy. Going to work is no harder than being at home and being in the house and opening up a closet and seeing a pair of shoes, the actress, 27, explained. Grief goes with you every day, whatever youre doing, when theres great moments, when theres hard moments. So Id rather, for me, be at work with the people that I love that are going through the same thing. And it obviously has its own triggers. But at the end of the day, I feel so safe there. Lea also recounted the Ellen episode where Monteith confirmed they were dating. Its one of my favorite memories, Michele told DeGeneres.

See how ‘Glee’ honored fallen star “I feel like, for me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn,” Michele recently told TV Week Australia. “Everyone is asking, ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?’ But the truth is, it’s no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.” Monteith’s ‘Glee’ character will die Strombo: Monteith was ‘the good one’ Heroin, alcohol killed Cory Monteith The musical show built around a high school glee club included songs like The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand by You,” “Seasons of Love” from “Rent” and “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry. But a pivotal moment came when Michele’s character sang Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love” with tears streaming down her face. There were plenty of tears from most of the characters as Finn’s football jacket appeared to become a symbol for Monteith’s presence on the show. Worn by Finn’s stepbrother Kurt Hummel (played by Chris Colfer), the posession of it is argued for by Noah Puckerman (played by Mark Salling) and draped over the shoulders of Santana Lopez (played by Naya Rivera) before contributing to one of the most emotional moments of the show. The sadness of the characters and cast extended to the fans. Fox set up a memorial page, #RememberingCory , to curate tweets, vines and Instagrams for viewers to share memories and their feelings watching the very emotional episode. “I have so many emotions inside of me right now,” wrote Twitter user Keeli Faith. “Lea singing Make You Feel My Love makes me have too much emotion #RememberingCory,” tweeted fan Emily Fitzpatrick. There were also some lighthearted moments, of course, given that the show is a comedy. At one point the character of Tina Chang (played by Jenna Ushkowitz) consults guidance counselor Emma (played by Jayma Mays) about the constant state of mourning.
